Originally built in 1907 as lodging for the first archeologists in the Costa Brava region, Hostal Spa Empúries stands on the ancient settlement of the Ruins of Empuries, whose beauty and tranquility attracted the Iberians as much as the Greek seafarers and the first Romans who settled the Iberian Peninsula. Hostal Spa Empúries boasts a total of 34 charming 100-year-old rooms with either sea or garden views, some with balconies in the historic part of the building and additional 19 modern rooms with large sea- or garden facing terraces in the newer Spa extension of the hotel. Tastefully refurbished and decorated in simple style, the rooms bring the spirit of this captivating, legendary hotel to life, whilst offering maximum comfort.
Hostal Spa Empúries boasts two dining areas, each with a delightful natural ambiance, from whose exceptionally large windows guests can enjoy spectacular panoramic sea views. Villa Teresita Restaurant harmoniously combines the classic aroma of Mediterranean sea-fare with the most innovative recipes, whilst Bistró del Mar offers a more informal menu of fresh local produce, prepared in a well-balanced and healthy way. Both restaurants have one thing in common: A responsibility towards sustainable consumption, using local produce with the majority of home grown ingredients or local farmers with a CCPAE (Certificate of Ecological Cultivation). Get pampered with the “Gastronomic Getaway” and experience one night in a double room as well as the excellent eco-Mediterranean cuisine of Rafa Pena, combined with half an hour beauty and relaxation treatment from 340 Euros for two persons. You can find detailed information on the “Gastronomic Getaway” under the following link:

Villa le Maschere is set in the Tuscan hills of Mugello, near Florence and is one of the most beautiful late Renaissance country homes in all of Tuscany. Originally the villa was built in the 16th century by the Bettini family and remodeled and enlarged by Giovanni Battista Foggini, chief architect and sculptor to the court of the Grand Duke of Tuscany in the late 17th century. Villa le Maschere boasts a total of 65 individually designed rooms and suites. Careful restorations have brought back frescoes, majolica, sculptures and stuccoes and let the rooms and suites shine with their ancient splendor, reminiscent of times when Villa le Maschere hosted popes, noblemen and artists.
Villa le Maschere offers three restaurants, all featuring a welcoming, yet different atmosphere. The dishes at the restaurant Il Pioppo Nero celebrate the union of rich local traditions with modern flavours and its grand French doors open to the beautiful terrace, designed by Foggini. The dominant motifs of the Il Cancello di Ghiereto Restaurant are the green fabrics, the prints and the floral designs in the great lamps, which re-evoke the romantic park surrounding Villa le Maschere. The great windows, the freshness of the colours, the stone floor and the garden furniture make the restaurant the natural extension of the beautiful environment. The brick vaults of the ancient cellars of the villa were transformed into Il Divinvino Restaurant, which is the perfect place for wine tastings and traditional dinners. Besides great traditional dining experiences, Villa le Maschere offers cooking classes where guests start selecting from the region’s freshest ingredients, before preparing traditional dishes in the hotel’s magnificent kitchen and enjoying these at Il Pioppo Nero Restaurant with fantastic views over the Tuscan countryside.
The wellness center at Villa le Maschere is situated in the ancient basement of the villa and enjoys spectacular views through three large arches that lead to the external swimming pool. The wellness center further offers a sauna, a Turkish bath, Emotional Showers, a Jacuzzi with direct access to the outdoor swimming pools as well as treatment rooms. Only 10 km away from Villa le Maschere, golf lovers enjoy one of the best golf courses in Tuscany suited to players of all levels: at UNA Poggio dei Medici Golf Club. Get enchanted by the Renaissance world and experience Villa le Maschere with the “Romantic Escape” – two nights’ accommodation in a double room, welcome drinks and a bottle of Franciacorta upon arrival, a candle-lit dinner and much more from 203 Euros per person. The castle and the park were built and created in 1889 by Empress Victoria, who shaped an impressive country estate that was clearly inspired by her British descent. In 1954 Schlosshotel Kronberg opened to the public as a luxurious castle hotel, owned by the family foundation of the Landgraves and Princes of Hesse. It still reflects the elegance and ambience of the Belle Époque and makes visitors feel like back in time. Since 2009 Schlosshotel Kronberg is a member of the “Small Luxury Hotels of the World™” and in 2014 it has been announced “Germany´s leading Resort Hotel” at the World Travel Awards for the fourth time. Guests will make their choice between 62 individually designed rooms and exquisite suites that are composed in warm colors and beautiful tapestries. All rooms in the second, third and fourth floor have recently been refurbished and decorated by British interior designer Nina Campbell. The owner family paid careful attention in finding a perfect blend of the romantic English country-style, combined with the historic parlours and the needs of a state-of-the-art 5-star hotel. We are pleased to make you feel at home and enjoy an unforgettable experience at Schlosshotel Kronberg with beautiful views of the park and an exclusive panorama of the bustling metropolis Frankfurt and its impressive skyline.
