Es Saadi Marrakech Resort

Marrakech, the former capital of the Moroccan empire in the west of the country, has long since ceased to be just a destination for escaping the European winter and has a unique North African and cultural flair. „Pearl of the Orient", "Paris of the Sahara", "Red City", - the numerous nicknames that exist for Marrakech promise magic, sensory delights and beauty. And because they are all true, the desert city in the North African Kingdom of Morocco has been a hotspot for the international jet set and trendsetters for years. Stars like Naomi Campbell or Mick Jagger, for example, are attracted to the city. Relaxation and peace on a top level in the midst of this pulsating and lively city can be found in the five-star hotel Es Saadi Marrakech Resort with its 8-hectare resort garden. Luxury paired with Moroccan architecture in a sustainable way.

Always family-run, now in its third generation, the hotel has been managed by the Bauchet Bouhlal family since its opening in 1966. Opened under Jean Bauchet, his grandson Jean Alexander Bauchet and his wife Caroline control the fortunes of this unique dream from 1001 night today. The "Casino de Marrakech" has also been owned by the family since 1952. The first casino in Africa is located in the Es Saadi Marrakech Resort and is definitely worth a visit.

Location

The city of Marrakech is located in the northern part of Morocco, about 2 hours away from the coast. In the south of the metropolis an interesting mountain panorama view can be found. Only 1 hour away are the Atlas Mountains, the highest mountain range in North Africa, which, as Homer already said, represents the end of the western world. It separates the northern parts of Africa from the Sahara desert.

Marrakech can be divided into the Gardens, the New Town and the Medina, the historic Old Town. With its labyrinth of winding alleys, the latter forms the heart of Marrakech and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985. The Es Saadi Marrakech Resort is located in the immediate vicinity of the Medina, only 5 minutes away from a fascinating world full of spices and robes and about 10 minutes from the international airport (RAK). In about 15 minutes you can reach various golf courses, such as the Royal Golf Marrakech (9-hole and 18-hole course) or the Noria Golf Club (18-hole course). With its location, Es Saadi Marrakech Resort is the perfect base from which to explore this breathtaking city.

Rooms & Suites

This unique luxury retreat is divided into four different categories. The "Hotel*****" section, which has been considered the benchmark for luxury hotels since 1966, consists of 149 rooms (35 m²), including 14 suites (75 to 85 m²) and 8 bungalows (50 m²), each with its own balcony. Each room is adapted to the preferences of its guests and combines oriental charm with modern luxury.

The "Palace" consists of 84 exquisitely furnished spacious suites (70 to 130 m²) with a view towards the Atlas mountains. Directly at the threshold of the Palace, there is one of the largest pools in Marrakech with 2400 m².

In the hotel's own spacious garden there are 10 unique villas (110 to 260 m²), embedded like precious stones in a green shell. Each villa has a private garden section, a heated pool and round-the-clock butler service. The villas can also be used as event locations.

Across from the Palace, also in a direct pool location, lie the 8 "Ksars", two-storey free villas measuring 160 m².  Here it lives completely in the traditional native style of the Berbers, the first inhabitants of Morocco. Inspired by the architecture of their castles and settlements, guests experience a touch of Morocco's past amidst beautiful, exotic plants.

Restaurant & Bars

Known for some of the best restaurants in Marrakech, the Es Saadi Marrakech Resort offers its guests some special taste experiences in the Hotel***** as well as in the Palace. In the Palace there are 3 first-class restaurants, consisting of a Moroccan restaurant "La Cour des Lions", which serves healthy and organic cuisine, the "Lagon & Jardin" as well as the "Othello", which is known for its sophisticated cuisine with first-class seafood. There are also 3 restaurants in the Hotel*****. The "Le Saadi" serves French and traditional dishes, the "Jardin d'Hiver" is famous for its rich breakfast, while the "Around the Pool" serves fresh salads and sandwiches. There are two other restaurants in the casino.

All dishes are based on products from the family's own organic garden. Furthermore every Wednesday and Friday at 20:30 o'clock a so-called "Maroccan Dinner Show" takes place. Here resort guests are entertained by traditional Moroccan cuisine and talented musicians and dancers from all over the country.

Spa & Wellness

The Es Saadi Marrakech Resort also leaves nothing to be desired in terms of wellness. The largest spa in Marrakech, located in the Palace, consists of a 3000 m² covered wellness area that extends over three levels and a 1,000 m² sun terrace.  The atmosphere: a soothing retreat that more than meets the beauty and wellness needs of guests. In addition, there is a second spa in the Hotel*****, the so-called "The Oriental Spa at Hotel" as well as the only Dior Institute outside Paris.
