29/05/12: Beautiful Laucala Island in the Fijis announces new management team
Our private dream island in the Fijis, Laucala Island, proudly announces the new management team under the new general manager, American born David Stepetic, as of April 1, 2012. The professional executive gained over 17 years of experience with the famed Four Seasons Hotel Group and is accompanied by his wife Risako, a Japanese lady who has supported David and worked alongside him also at Four Seasons Hotels.
In addition to David, several other team members complete the wonderful Laucala team, such as the new Austrian Pastry Chef Robert Weissbacher, who worked the last three years at Castle Elmau in Germany or Resident Manager Simon Hazelman, Fijian veteran in the hospitality industry with a wealth of experience, managing the smooth running of backline operations. Spa Manager Khun Noi, Thai national and looking after beautiful exotic jungle spa is also part of the team as well as the Culture Manager Epeli Waqaicece, one of many “original” Fijians on the island, who oversees the unique cultural centre and organizes the different cultural performances for guests. He also supervises the Laucala group of singers at every guest arrival and departure – this is just one of the wonderful experiences guests will get to know when going to Laucala Island.
